Closing in on 1 year since the release of their magnificent debut album, ‘The Frail Tide’, Melbourne’s latest melodic death metal masters, BE’LAKOR, are looking forward. With preparations for album #2 well underway, this will be their last headline show in Melbourne before changing focus towards completing writing and then recording their new album. Always amazing on the live front, this show is an absolute must see for all Be’lakor fans!

Hailing from the Central Coast, NSW, and drawing influences from Post-Rock, Classical, Jazz, Folk, Doom, Death, Black, and Progressive Metal, NEVETHERYM are not a band to create one-dimensional music. Having released a stunning debut EP, ‘Rendevous’, in 2007, Nevetherym make their first ever trip to Melbourne as part of an east coast Australian tour with Wagga Wagga’s Leicohtica.

Fresh from the November release of their debut EP, ‘Empty As The Day’, Port Phillip Bay Area thrashers, BLACK LIKE VENGEANCE, are pushing the boundaries of what Australian heavy music has to offer. Crushing riffs, shredding leads, and the haunting beauty and sheer brutality of Sheri’s voice, Black Like Vengeance are sure to appeal to fans of Arch Enemy, Soilwork, Deadlock and Lamb of God.

Since blazing onto the Australian metal scene in mid-2004, Wagga Wagga’s black/symphonic metallers LEICOHTICA have proven themselves a force to be reckoned with. The band was voted runner-up in the Australian metal music awards, had a top 30 spot in the Musicoz awards, was a finalist in the Jim Beam national battle of the bands and made several highly acclaimed festival appearances including here in Melbourne as part of the first ever Sonic Forge Festival in July 2007. Leicohtica return to Melbourne as part of an east coast Australian tour with Nevetherym.

Having released their much anticipated debut album, ‘End of Season’, towards the latter part of 2007, DARKEST DAWN, are set for a big year ahead. An amazing 7 piece band that features 3 guitarists and a two pronged, male/female lead vocal attack; they garner influences from both the hard rock and metal worlds creating music that is exhilarating, intense, melodic and dynamic.

Returning to the venue of their recent launch for their debut EP ‘UNHOLY’, KNIGHTMARE are a promising up and coming Melbourne metal band that mix elements of traditional heavy, power and thrash metal- a band definitely worth arriving at the venue early to see.
